Circa Dec 2019 – Can you name that tune? What song is it? I’ll tell you in a moment. This was a nail biting event in the beginning. Let me explain, first the venue is call “The Office Party” like the box office movie “Office Christmas Party”. Next, as soon as we get there to set up, alcohol was being rolled in with ice. No big deal right? We had to wait to unload because the amount of alcohol and ice being unloaded was taking a lot of time so, we actually decided to unload a different way which took up more ground to cover. Finally we get in and because of the strong rsvp’s, the client asked us to set up equipment upstairs which was really a loft with a 4 sided glass wall with of view of the floor below. It looked really cool but gave off that “people falling through” the glass vibe. Not to mention it was a surprise to set up upstairs as we do charge more and they kind of hid that from us during the price quote. Oh well. Our equipment is heavy, on a cart and carrying it upstairs is a task. No big deal, I came to give them one hell of a good time. Indeed they had a great time. They drank and ate appetizers for the first 2 hours of the event while I played background music from above. The karaoke equipment, tv displays for the lyrics and speakers were all upstairs. With 2 hours remaining in the event, the CEO led the charge of a libation filled and enthusiastic staff upstairs to sing their hearts out. The song is “Pieces of Me” by Ashlee Simpson #karaokedj
