Circa Jan 1 2019 – Wedding Reception – Question, was this Wedding held on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day? I’ll tell you in a moment. This was a beautiful Top Floor ceremony right about the time of the vows were taken, the Sun was setting in the background. Held at the Marina Del Rey Marriott and due to the location of the rooftop and the huge discount we gave the client, I alone had to haul all the equipment by myself as the labor costs were too high. Sometimes I forget how much more time it takes to haul equipment higher than 7 floors and service ramps at the loading dock including the wait time for the elevator to come back down which is being used by hotel staff. However, as they say “the beat goes on …and the beat goes on”. This actual picture was taken as the last song “last dance” by Donna Summer. At this exact moment it was almost 2am in the morning on New Year’s day. The actual ceremony was New Year’s Eve. In a previous post you would see about 100 guests on the dance floor but in this pick at nearly 2 am there is the “last of the Mohicans”. After all it’s New Years! All the libations were consumed and the rest is history with a magnificent view, 360 view of the surrounding area including an almost fool moon. Family members and friends from around the country were on the guest list including some from the other side of the world.
