Most Historic Wedding Eva! Why?
Circa 2015 – The Oviatt Penthouse – Most Historic Wedding Eva! Why? I’ll tell you in a moment. It’s 20 minutes before the ceremony. I took a picture of my speaker. It was shaped like a building. A Dragonfly landed and flew off which was interesting because a helicopter took off from the building on the right; cool. The wedding reception was on the rooftop of the Oviatt Penthouse. It’s April and the clouds and the temperature were teasing us about the cold but it got warmer at night. A few heaters were on standby. The fun almost didn’t happen. I protested early on that you can’t have the dance floor 50 feet away from the dj set up. Against the coordinator’s wishes, I relocated speakers next to dance floor; I did what was right. It’s a bride’s special day, not anybody else’s. I don’t care how you always place the dance floor 50 feet away from the dj. You have been doing it wrong. Sure enough, the facility manager at the end of the night complemented me because he said “I’ve never seen a party like this before” with “so much activity and dancing”. He was right. The guests danced non-stop with an hour overtime and were smashed but happy. I gave me a medal; seriously. It’s nerve racking bumping heads with wedding vendors over common sense. So, a bridesmaid, while waiting to use bathroom, relieved herself in a Historic bathtub which was roped off like a museum. Then the manager said it’s my fault because I got them too hyped up. I’ll take that! #weddingdj #djinla #weddingdjlife #weddingdjservice #mrdjservices #djservices
