Summer – Circa 2019 – Have You ever made a Doctor do a house call? UCLA invited Doctors from India. While on the UCLA campus, the administration threw a karaoke dj party at The Wolfgang Puck Express dining facility. Who would of thought such genius, academically dedicated, devotedly helpful physicians could really let it loose? I started Djing in the 2nd grade. 30 years later I have never seen such extra curricular energy from doctors. American doctors are usually at a Holiday Party with their staff of nurses and have a certain professional composure to display I guess. Here, maybe it was just because they were and every single one of them was a doctor, that they instinctively knew it was ok to ‘let their hair” down amongst their own piers like a “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” type of mood.
