Circa Oct 2015 – What in the Hay is going on in this pic? I’ll tell you in a moment.

What a beautiful morning to start out with as we drove out to the edge of L.A. County near Diamond Bar, Ca. Our checklist for our dj wedding packages was in route for an hour coming from Burbank.

As we get there we noticed we were the first vendor to arrive on the site, a private residence. I always show up 4 hours early for my wedding dj clients. Once all is plugged in and ready I then proceed to the nearest 24 hour Fitness to play a quick pick up game of basketball, shower and then back to the wedding site.

I came back to find I was still the only vendor. I was notified the caterer was already supposed to be on site as it was a Texas Bar-B-Cue style service. By now they should of been setting up. So, fast forward to this picture as in a few moments the guests waiting in the shade will be sitting on the bales of hay for a ‘Hee Haw’ theme wedding reception. Overalls for the men and women wore knee dresses with cowboy boots. It was pretty cool.

Now the ceremony is over. Plenty of libations but the caterer was nowhere to be seen which meant no appetizers. I was notified it was a family friend. The groom had to order 30 pizzas. Finally the caterer showed up. The senior old man and owner of the company I heard was experiencing dementia of sorts. I’m glad he showed up because turns out the guests ended up with 2 dinners to sober up. #weddingdj #djservices #weddingideas
