Circa July 2023 – What do Minor League Baseball players and the partiers in this picture have in common? I’ll tell you in a moment. Right now let’s talk about the phrase “a household name”. What does that mean? The Merriam-Webster dictionary says : very well-known: a person or thing whose name is very well-known. a famous actor who has become a household name. Well in this picture are credited actors; the cream of the crop from Los Angeles letting off some steam. You can look them up on IMDB and find tv shows & films that are household names but their role is not. The amount of work, exposure and practice they do on a daily and weekly basis is like a baseball player in the minor league waiting to get the ‘bump’ up to the “show” also known as the Major League. Even when an actor/baseball player gets the bump, their performance has to take on a new level of notoriety. This event was a birthday party for one of the instructors of the World Famous ‘About-The-Work’ actors studio. Most of them spent years in theatre which explains the ability to drink, dance, sing, drink some more, sing karaoke, dance then drink a little more and then help break everything down, clean up and make it home safe. Their mental conditioning and stamina for ‘roadie’ type grit while maintaining peak level showmanship while singing is unmatched. True Grit!
