Circa 2016 – Prototype Karaoke Dj (the set up) – You’ve heard the song “last night a Dj saved my life?” Well adding karaoke to my dj service saved my livelihood, my business and my life. How? For years I had a rotation of dj staff mainly because the dj’s that couldn’t get work would come to me for work. I would say “ok” but the problem is they couldn’t show up on time. Always late. And the guys who didn’t show up late were making wedding receptions boring; minimal dancing. Premium price demands knowing how to get everyone on the dance floor and keep them there. So, the guys who show up late well it’s no wonder they couldn’t get work. At that time I was submersed in marketing and booking weddings. I was Super Extraordinarily great myself at performing wedding receptions. So, over time double bookings, triple bookings would overlap and I needed bodies (djs) to cover these jobs. I personally came highly recommended and would put my guarantee on the djs I assigned to the weddings. Showing up late or being boring are not going to get you good reviews including you’ll have to give partial refunds to brides and talk it out the following Monday known in the business as “damage control”.
