On the Job Libations? Karaoke Dj Party Chronicles

Circa Dec 2017 – Why is the bar located right next to the dj booth? I’ll tell you in a moment. This particular event was a big wig lighting and visual company. They throw about 2-3 parties a year for their staff which includes sales, grips, assistants, admins etc. They do a ton of what we call in the industry “in house” sound, visual and lighting. This means hotels like the Hyatt have a dedicated office and storage for an independent company like this one. Turns out it’s much cheaper to outsource visual, audio and lighting to solid experts but keep them close by like in the actual hotel. It makes a happier client who let’s say rented 200 rooms for their national training and rented the ballroom for training. The trainings must go off without a hitch. Mic’s, projectors, etc. Using hotel staff apparently has bombed over the years and it’s now a thing to strike deals with companies to be the “in house” provider of audio, visual and lighting. So, now to the question: Why is the bar next to the dj booth? It’s there because we always tell the client, “look, if you ask us to make the party a big success, then start by putting the alcohol as close as you can to the dance floor. Well, they listened and sure enough, without missing a beat, as soon as the music went full ballistic, everybody wanted to be on the dance for and near the alcohol. BOOM! Mr Dj Services was on hand for the karaoke Dj service. #djservice #karaokedj #djinla
