How much time do you need to set up?
Once our dj & staff arrives 3 hours before the start of event, all equipment is then set up & calibrated. Afterwards, your guests arrive enjoying appetizers to the perfect cocktail hour music and even better dinner music.

Circa 2023 - Where is the line of guests? Waiting for the 360? I`ll tell you in a moment.
This picture is from December of 2023 and was a Corporate Christmas Holiday Party. The event actually started at 12 noon downstairs with a Gingerbread House making competition.
The Karaoke Dj Photo Booth party started at 5:30pm. By this time the libations were in full tilt as the guests were very eager to sing and dance. To the left of this picture are about 50 guests dancing and watching 3 people singing.
The line of people waiting for their turn at the 360 were busy dancing and one by one they would jump back in the imaginary line.
For those of you who are not familiar with the 360 photo booth, well firstly it`s not an actual booth anymore but it`s the name used; kind of like those so call "hoverboards" which didn`t `hover` and had wheels. It`s just an excepted name I guess.
So, this particular 360 is a 2-3 person only. The bigger 5-8 person 360`s are, in my opinion, not practical. You see when it`s only 2 people then the final product video does 2-3 passes in circles for more face time. Otherwise, it`s one pass around of all the people on those bigger 360`s. That`s no fun.

Circa Summer 2023 - What song are these S. Korean H.S. students dancing to? I`ll tell you in a moment.
It`s live on the campus of Loyola Marymount University and it`s Summer break but that didn`t stop the new Senior High School students from visiting the campus.
Every year universities seek students to attend. This campus invited all these kids who were about to start their Senior back in their home country of South Korea.
Their was an assortment of games, activities and food for their short 5 day stay to soak in what campus life would be like on the Pacific Coast line. Some of the parents made the trip as well.
Mr Dj Services was on hand for the dj service, karaoke singing and both the regular photo booth and 360 photo booth.
What was amazing was the students didn`t speak English but, some how they sang Cher and Celine Dion karaoke songs perfectly. That was amazing. It`s like they were mimic`s or impersonators of every vowel of the alphabet.

Circa Dec 2021 - Can you name the song these folks are dancing & singing too? Answer? I`ll tell you in a moment.
Mr Dj Services was on hand at the very popular venue `Golden Road Brewery` which is located on the border of Burbank and Glendale. It`s right next to a set of railroad tracks. When I say `next to` it`s in a business zone of warehouse type of structures so the train pass through within 30 feet of the brewery at full speed; entire establishment shakes.
The service includes a photo booth which has a host, printer, physical props & filters, boomerang videos with a sms/email delivery too.
The main part of the karaoke dj service is the MC & DJ which host the raffle giveaway and short games for prizes. The staff really enjoy this as we then segue into the karaoke.
In this picture you see two staff members singing the song by the Spice Girls as others are dancing. Mr Dj Services structures your karaoke for optimal fun and dancing. Sometimes we play 2 to 3 songs only and then 2 to 3 karaoke songs. It`s a great balance and it keeps guests from signing up for super sad & depressing slow songs. Everyone realized they don`t want to kill the party.

Circa 2023 - It`s a Wednesday at 3:52 pm? Is this a Movie Set? Prop? Or a real party? I`ll tell you in a moment.
This location was for the world famous toy company Hasbro. As we walk through the hallway of art, magazine articles, sales achievements and of course toys, we couldn`t help but be reminded to the similarity to the Google headquarters.
At Google, they have fun things and objects to everyday structures like slides instead of escalators to get to the next floor down. Seriously, it`s a real thing. Use youtube to search and see for yourself what playground type of atmosphere Google has for its` staff.
This picture was taken on a Wednesday because the executives leave for the entire month and don`t return until the New Year. So, by having a Corporate Holiday & Christmas party on a Wednesday works perfect into the schedule.

Circa Dec 2023 (Thursday) - Why is there two laptops? Where are the other 80 staff? I`ll tell you in a moment.
Mr Dj Services was on hand for this Corporate Event celebration during the Christmas Holiday Season. The mood of the staff was very positive as we were informed that the staff was being fed and entertained while still being on the clock.
There was a full bar and plenty of food to enjoy. At least 20 out of the 100 staff sung a karaoke song. Especially as the libations started to kick in that the staff began the line dancing marathon.
If you look closely at the picture you see 2 laptops in use. The righ is for karaoke and the left is for dj music; for dancing.
Why do we need two? Could you just do it all in in laptop? Yes, you could but why? Are requirement is that the show must go on as they say in the business. Meaning we have to bring a backup laptop. Why bring a back laptop and not already have it on and ready to go?
Besides, just like having multiple apps on your home TV like Netflix, Disney or Hulu, there is not just one karaoke software that will have all the songs. Sometimes we have to log out of one app and login into another app to play a karaoke song.
So, having two laptops side by side is the proper way to handle and manage continuous play of dance party music like you see in the picture and at a moments notice switch to a karaoke singer.

Mr Dj Services was not Mr Dj Services. What does that mean? the wedding dj industry it`s known as a `White Label` gig. Also known as the subcontract dj job.
Competitors of the Dj businesses help each other our by representing the flag or the origin of the client`s business.
You see sometimes a certain DJ company overbooks a date and his or her staff is running thin. So, that Dj owner will reach out to borrow an MC or a DJ and provide the equipment as well. The imported dj gets a job, the competing dj earns a favor and the main Dj gets the job done. Everybody wins!
I know it may sound a little risky but if you know your competition and they have the same standards it all works out.
We represented a company I originally met at a Las Vegas Dj convention. In fact I had won the `National Dj of the Year runner-up` award in which I met a sister dj company from Orange County as I was Djing in Sacramento County. When I moved to Southern, Ca some years later, I started working for myself and the Orange County Dj company 50/50. This picture was one of the last `white label` jobs in did for them as my own business has taken off.

Circa Nov 2023 - It`s a Karaoke Dj Party: Why are they not singing? I`ll tell you in a moment.
This is one of our favorites clients and the picture doesn`t show the entire story. It was a surprise birthday party for the hubby. Usually 9 out of 10 parties like this get foiled and the surprise is ruined. Why? Well, it`s a mental disparity with some individuals and the concept of a `Surprise`.
Let me explain: Every party we have done that the surprise was ruined did so because one of the invited guests texted/called the unsuspecting person (whom the surprise was for) to notify them that "they can`t make it to your surprise party". What? I know right? Who does this?
One time I watched the friend (Canadian guy), who left message saying `they can`t make their surprise party` argue their POV; by saying what would they think if they didn`t see me at the party? And of course those around all agreed that "they would of understood".
Seriously, it happens 9 out of 10 and it`s surely a mental disability as to how the `surprise is suppose to work`. A type of misplaced common sense which seems to be common lately.
However, this party was the 1 out of 10 that the surprise did NOT get ruined. The birthday man was completely surprised. I was there at the small gate entrance to let him in with two of his buddies and the guests yelled Surprise!!!

Circa Oct 2022 - T-minus 5 min to start; why are the speakers on the ground? No tri-pods? I`ll tell you in a moment.
So, Mr Dj Services was on hand for the first Saturday of October which was a 40th Birthday Celebration. What`s great about having a 40th on the first Saturday of October is that you can invite the entire family with their kids. Why?
You see when kids show up wearing Halloween costumes to a 40th party, well it`s like having a baby sitter; the kids have something to do, a theme of their own. The kids play with each other and kind of stay out of the way of the `Big Kids" and indeed it`s `Big Kids`.
About 90 minutes into the libations and music, the `Big Kids` stormed the karaoke stage and performed songs both in tune, almost in tune and of course in tune. Nobody cares when you are having fun.
