Circa April 2017 – Manhattan Beach – Fusion Sushi Bar – Where are all the adults? I’ll tell you in a moment. It’s a Friday evening about 4pm. The moms arranged for a kids birthday party to begin right after school. It was a pick up kids at school and straight to the Fusion Sushi bar. About a dozen kids had to walk from school to this location because their moms were not off of work yet. The school was only 4 blocks away but I had about 12 back packs next to me. I’m use to having personal belongings from bar patrons like purse’s and coats. It was non stop karaoke and dancing once the Sushi & pizza was eaten. Pizza? Yes, because it was a private room and kids and pizza sounds great with a party at a Sushi establishment, right? This party turned out to be a blast for the Moms who were in an adjacent room where there were unlimited libations and Sake! I ran a speaker over to the adult room where I saw them dancing but without the kids seeing them. They were smashed by the end of the 3 hour party but extremely happy with the service.
