What’s a Silent Disco? Silent Party Dj Service?

Circa Feb 2020 – Guests dancing but wearing headphones, why? I’ll tell you in a moment. So, this corporate event took place at the Westin Bonaventure in Downtown Los Angeles. The Company had a post holiday awards banquet & celebration for it’s nationwide leaders, staff & employees. This particular corporation sold franchise rights so in actuality, everybody was their own business. We were placed in the lobby with old school video games, foosball, ping pong tables, electronic darts and a variety of entertainment games. There was also 3 bartender stations. The game plan was after all the applause, speeches and joyful shouting that was going on in the main room, the attendees would bust open the doors to the lobby and start with the libation consumption. Once the doors were open, our job was to play party music in the area where the games were and play something called ‘Silent Disco” in the area you see in this picture. The way it works is the guests grab blue tooth headphones that we provided and listen to the disco music. It’s an amazing sight. Imagine you’re a dj and you are staring at dozens of people wearing headphones and dancing but, you don’t hear any music. Instead you head their feet making rubbing sounds and conversations off in the distance. What? Yes, it’s funny to look at this happening. We played every top 20 disco hit song within 90 minutes of the start of the party. Mr Dj Services was on hand for the disco dj format. #djservices #partydj #disco #70s
