Circa Feb 2018 – The Hollywood Roosevelt – Why is this party on a Wednesday? I’ll tell you in a moment. This crowd was enthusiastic. Money makers here in the picture. Major company flew in there top achievers for a training. A 3 day intensive training concluded with a party filled with “hors d’oeuvres” and libations on the house. They were rewarded but most importantly, owners like seeing bigger profits and success upon success. We heard some of the training when I was setting up the karaoke dj package and it sounded like the corporation was clearly not only blowing out the competition but also recently bought a adjacent competitor. So, now on to this party. Certain guests were enjoying the libations when they decided to take over the party and mc the karaoke sign ups. We kept an eye on the flow and it all worked out. This Historic building was rockin! Of course the final two songs were Don’t Stop Believing and Bohemian Rhapsody. All the hit 80s and 90s karaoke songs literally being shouted. Microphones were not needed. Hotel management notified us hotel guests in the rooms above were complaining who were trying to go to sleep. At this time, we were in our first hour of overtime which was paid by one of the guests. Yes, a guest paid for the hour overtime. The Hotel management declined to let the party continue.
